Donald Glover has released new music.

The multidisciplinary songster, actor and writer quietly released a new album via livestream amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although no comments or press related remarks towards Glover’s latest effort have surfaced at the moment, the project’s link appeared online with some support from his management team in the form of a resounding retweet.

Childish Gambino, the since retired moniker of the famed musician, is not mentioned anywhere on the twelve-track release – which houses guest-verses from the likes of Ariana Grande, SZA and 21 Savage. A four-panel depiction of a world on fire serves as the cover art for the LP and is also symbolic of the current state of modern day civilization.

The collective gathering of Gambino stans swarmed social media with comical banter in response to the shock-drop stemming from Glover’s sporadic unveiling of new work.

Bad news, the filming for Glover’s Emmy-winning ‘Atlanta‘ series has ceased in lieu of the recent health guidelines associated with Coronavirus. Good news, season 3 is slated to be 10 episodes deep and filmed in other remote regions outside of the United States.

Despite having to wait another year for the show’s long-awaited return to FX, at least we have Glover’s serenading caterwauls of concern for worldly pleasures to appease the moment.
