Today, DJ Khaled took time out of his busy schedule to thank Beyonce for allowing him to be a part of her Formation World Tour. Via Instagram, Khaled shared a lengthy open letter expressing his appreciation for King Bey. Back in April, Beyonce gave Khaled the opportunity to open up for her tour, and he’s been killing the stage every since.
Bey and Khaled have knocked out 23 performances stateside, and will resume after a two week break. The tour will kick back off in Europe and travel to England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, France, Denmark, Sweden and Spain before heading back to the United States. Last night, Bey closed off the first leg of her tour in Detroit, where she dedicated her song “Halo” to the victims that were injured in Orlando, Florida.
Khaled started his letter off writing, “A THANK YOU LETTER TO @beyonce and 🐝hive and fan luv … Dreams come true Don’t ever let “they” tell you you can’t do it. They told me I would never tour. Well I just finished touring with the biggest artist walking the planet. They told me I would never touch a stage in a high school arena. Well I just finished touching the stage in every stadium in every major city in America. Dreams come true. But you have to work hard, you gotta work very hard!!! In order to stand beside the icon @beyonce You gotto work hard for over 25 years and dedicate your blood sweat and tears to making your dreams a reality. I want to thank Beyoncé for putting me on stage in front of a stadium full of loyal fans of the 🐝 Hive and Fan luv! Dreams come true.”
