Desiigner’s “Panda” has been climbing up the charts since making it’s debut. But now, the 19 year old Brooklyn rapper’s viral song has reached its peak and grabbed the number one spot on the Hot Rap Songs chart after only seven weeks. The G.O.O.D. Music signee has surpassed Kanye West’s “Famous” and “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1”, as well as Drake’s “Pop Style” and “Summer Sixteen”.

Panda is also making moves on the Billboard Hot 100. He’s currently sitting at number 5, trailing behind Rihanna’s “Work” at number 1, Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” at number 2, Meghan Trainor’s “No” at number 3, and Zayn’s “Pillowtalk” at number 4. Desiigner also sold 70,000 downloads, and was streamed 22.3 million times in the past week.

Desiigner has been compared to Future a number of times since stepping onto the music scene, but that hasn’t discouraged him. A week ago he announced that he would be releasing a mixtape soon.
