DeJ Loaf pushed her tomboy swag aside for a moment and got all dolled up and sexy for the cover of her upcoming EP #AndSeeThatsTheThing. The cover features a simple black and white photo of DeJ wearing minimal makeup and her signature short haircut laid to the Gods. When asked about her inspiration for the cover, the Detroit emcee stated, “I wanted the cover art for #AndSeeThatsTheThing to be a self photo that needed no explanation. I wanted the people to understand everything in one photo and kind of be like ‘exactly, I get it’ because the title itself to me, means there’s no going around this. This is it, I’m here to stay. Different Flavors, different style. Anything I wanna do I can do it.”
A few weeks ago Miss Loaf dropped the lead single off the upcoming project titled “Back Up” featuring Big Sean. DeJ has been known to knock em dead with her killer bars and catchy hooks, so I’m more than sure this EP is well worth the wait. There has been no release date announced yet, but there is a good chance it will drop before summer comes to an end.
DeJ is currently touring with Meek Mill, Rae Sremmurd, and Tinashe for Nicki Minaj’s “The Pinkprint Tour“.
