Saturday morning, Coolio was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport.
Yesterday, Coolio and his security guard were taken into custody for allegedly trying to bring a loaded gun through security. The 53 year old “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper and his entourage were flagged down by transportation security administration agents after x-rays revealed a gun in one of their bags.
At first, Coolio’s security guard claimed to be the owner of the bag containing the gun. However, Coolio later admitted that it was his. Both Coolio and his security were arrested for possession of a stolen loaded firearm and booked at LAPD Pacific Division jail. It was discovered that the gun had been stolen.
Coolio was detained for questioning, and has since been released from jail on bail. He uploaded a YouTube video stating, “Everything’s fine. I’m fine. As you can see, I’m at P.F. Chang’s having a meal and having a few drinks. I mean, I don’t know what’s gonna be the result of this in the future, but for now, I’m fine and I appreciate everyone’s concerns.”
