The Coalition DJ’s of Atlanta 11th Year Anniversary Event Recap

by inyaearstaff

The Coalition DJ’s 11th Year Anniversary event invaded Heaven at the Masquerade Atlanta on Monday, January 21, 2019

What a better way to shutdown Martin Luther King Jr. Drive than on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, featuring a spectacle of performances housed in the depths of the “Down South”.

That is exactly what transpired at the Coalition DJ’s event. A slew of some of the hottest emerging talents in hip-hop, in-conjunction with some of the most vivacious performances I’ve ever witnessed, this event was nothing short of exciting from beginning to end.

Featuring a line-up of talent, included but not limited to: Young Scooter, LightSkinKeisha , Dutchess, Taylor Girlz , Lil Keed , Lil Donald, Yung Bleu and many more , you can imagine the influx of people that stormed into Hell to witness the performing acts.

Before the performances, the red-carpet was rolled out in the Heaven venue across the alley-way at the Masquerade Atlanta. This set-up at the Coalition DJ’s event encouraged active participation from everyone involved.

The one-on-one engagement with the artists provided the ideal opportunity for any journalist or media personnel. For someone that has never personally attended an event of this stature in the past, I can clearly see the value stemming from interactions such as this.

Artists, A&R’s, music professionals, taste-makers all alike, all under the same roof for hours at a time. For any music enthusiast, the experience was more than worthwhile.

What stood out the most to me about the entire event was the level of dedication exhibited by everyone involved. It was a true testament to the fact that no matter the depth of acquired success achieved, you never forget where you come from.
