Christopher “Big Black” Boykin made plans ahead of time for his daughter’s future.
On Tuesday, former “Rob & Big” star Christopher “Big Black” Boykin passed away after suffering a heart attack. Sadly, Boykin left behind a 9 year old daughter, Isis, but prior to his death, he made sure to map out a plan that would secure a great future for her.
According to TMZ, Boykin set up a college fund for Isis, to prevent her from having to struggle financially while working towards her degree.
Family members lovingly described Boykin as a “penny-pincher” who rarely picked up large tabs or indulged in expensive things like his friends. One of his main goals in life was to be a great father to his only child.
Boykin’s ex-wife, Shannon, revealed to Daily Mail that they had divorced in 2009, but Boykin had recently been living with Shannon in Texas due to his declining health.
Before Boykin died, he was hospitalized for several days for heart problems, and had previously had a defibrillator implanted in his chest.
His condition had deteriorated so badly that doctors were considering a heart transplant. Unfortunately, Boykin’s family has a history of heart problems.
