Chance The Rapper is encouraging everyone to get out and vote!
With Election Day taking place next Tuesday, Chance The Rapper is doing all he can to encourage Chicago’s youth to vote. On Monday, Chance will be hosting a free concert at Virgin Hotels Chicago in an effort to call attention to the importance of voting.
Today, Chance announced the event via Twitter, writing, “I’m throwing a block party/concert/rally/Parade on top of @virginhotelschi all on Monday. Surprise Guest.” Chance’s nonprofit organization, SocialWorks, along with Virgin Hotels Chicago will sponsor the free event, which will take place from 3-7 p.m.
During a press release, Chance stated, “This election is very important, a chance for new leaders and new opportunities to emerge. SocialWorks and I are proud to partner with Virgin Hotels Chicago, Boost Your Voice and The TurboVote Challenge to give everyone a voice in the democratic process and encourage people to vote, both locally and nationally.”
