Cardi B’s album is on the way!
It’s been a long road, but Cardi B says her debut studio album, Invasion Of Privacy, will arrive next week. Via Instagram, Cardi shared the album’s cover art, with the following caption, “My album cover !!! LADIES AND GENTS ! My album INVASION OF PRIVACY will be out next week April 6!!!!!!!❤️💪🏾.”
Orginally, Cardi’s album was set to arrive back in October, but it was pushed back a number of times because the “Bodak Yellow” rapper felt pressured to make it perfect.
At the time, Cardi tweeted, “I have a lot of pressure on me.I have songs stashed up .I just don’t think they qualified for my album .Sometimes i think is ready sometimes i think it’s not so I’m going to take my time till it’s right.”
Cardi also told Rolling Stone, “I got six, seven solid songs that I like [for the album], but I wonder if a month from now, I’m going to change my mind. It’s not as fun to do music […] my mind doesn’t flow as free ’cause I have so much on my mind.”
“It’s so sad to say, and I don’t want to be the one to say it, but you gotta follow the trend. […] This generation loves to get high. They love to be on drugs. This is why they on that shit: They don’t want to think about what you’re saying.”
