You won’t be seeing Chief Keef on BET anytime soon.
After years of speculation, Bow Wow has confirmed that Chief Keef is in fact banned from BET. Via Instagram, Bow Wow responded back to a inquiring fan writing, “BET banned Sosa. I was fighting to get sosa on 106 it was no go from the uppers. They really black balled him from mainstream its crazy.”
Back in 2013, Chief Keef’s relationship with BET took a turn for the worst when the network refused to allow him to perform at the BET Awards. Shortly after, Sosa slammed BET via social media. Chief Keef posted a Instagram video where he went on a full blown rant, stating, “Man, f*ck BET! We out here, man. If we go to the BET Awards, chains getting took. B*tches getting f*cked. They mommas getting f*cked. Steal, pregnant, everything.”
According to Sosa, he was banned from BET because he didn’t want to appear on “106 & Park”. I don’t know how true that is, but I’m sure his legal woes and messy Instagram videos didn’t help much.
