Bobby Shmurda To Drop New Mixtape From Prison

by Yellah Bone

Bobby Shmurda has a new project on the way!

Bobby Shmurda may still be incarcerated, but that hasn’t deterred him from making music. According to Fivio Foreign, the “Hot N*gga” rapper is gearing up to drop a new tape. During an interview with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 radio, Fivio opened up about a conversation that he had with GS9 member, Rowdy Rebel.

“I spoke to Rebel on the phone. He said two weeks he got some fire coming out. He goin’ crazy. And he’s dropping a mixtape.” Ebro then asked Fivio to clarify who was actually dropping a mixtape. Fivio replied, “Bobby! He droppin’ a mixtape from jail. Facts, nobody knew that.”

Fivio Foreign rose to fame following the release of his hit single, “Big Drip.” In October 2019, he inked a deal with Columbia Records. He told Ebro that he is currently working on his debut studio album, The Bible, which has yet to receive an official release date.

Shmurda and Rebel have remained behind bars since they were arrested in 2016 on various weapon charges. Shmurda pleaded guilty to one count of third degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession. He was ultimately sentenced to 7 years in prison, but will be given credit for the time he already served.

In 2018, Bobby’s mother, Leslie Pollard, gave an update on her son via Instagram, “Great visit with my stinky…..the count down continues 22 months to go. Chewy is in great spirits he sends his Love and he can not wait to be back to work.”

Shmurda could be released from Clinton Correctional Facility in New York as early as December 11, 2020.
