On Wednesday, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s doctors decided to bring her out of her medically induced coma. The 21 year old has been in a coma for almost a month. However, this major decision to take Brown out of the coma led to a major setback because she began to have violent seizures. I’m sure this is very saddening for Brown’s family who has remained at her bedside throughout this entire ordeal.
Sources closed to Brown spoke with CNN telling them that doctors were forced to put her back on the drugs because of the episodes that had taken place. Brown’s condition still remains severe.
Rachael Ross, a practicing board-certified family medicine physician and recurring cohost of the show The Doctors stated earlier this month that doctors would have placed Brown in a coma to let her brain heal. She continued stating, “If the brain is doing no work — it doesn’t have to metabolize anything, it doesn’t have to think — then what we can do is, we can prevent [her brain] from swelling any further, and we can potentially buy her some time and let it heal up.”
Doctors recently performed a tracheotomy on Brown to prevent an infection entering through her breathing tube. She will continued to be fed through a feeding tube.
