In honor of Tupac’s 45th birthday, director Benny Boom has released the trailer for “All Eyez On Me”. The highly anticipated biopic will focus on the life and death of Pac, and is slated to hit theaters in November.

The trailer is only about a minute long, but it’s enough to run chills through your spine. The short clip gives fans a little insight on Tupac’s life as a young child, his teenage years, all the way up to adulthood and stardom. Danai Gurira, who plays the role of Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, narrates the clip stating, “Son, this ain’t just about you. Like all black men, you have a bullseye on your back. They are going to give you the tools you need to destroy yourself. So above all else, to thine own self be true. Now, let me see your spirit.”

Before the trailer comes to a close, fans get a glimpse of 27-year-old Demetrius Shipp Jr., who plays the role of the late rapper. He can be seen standing on a stage all while a stadium of fans are chanting “Tupac! Tupac!”. Shipp was the perfect candidate for the role, as his resemblance to Tupac is quite eerie. To say the least, I am impressed.
