Big Sean and Ariana Grande decided to take the high road when they had their reps address their recent split. It was refreshing to see a celebrity couple go their separate ways without a public beef or subliminal tweets on Twitter of them taking shots at each other. Originally, it was revealed that the couple had decided to split because their conflicting schedules would keep them apart for more than a year. But now, rumors are surfacing that Grande decided to call it quits with Big Sean because she felt some of the lyrics referring to her in his song Stay Down were extremely inappropriate and disrespectful. The lyrics were “I ain’t even gonna lie/ I got a million dollar chick/ With a billion dollar p****/ Every time I c*m/ I feel like I be rich.” Oh God!
What made matters even worse is Grande’s grandmother heard the song and questioned her about it. Wow, I can only imagine how uncomfortable that conversation was. According to Big Sean, he believes those lines are awesome. In a interview with Rollingstone he stated, “I don’t have to run it by my girl, but she hears. I played her the whole album before it came out, so she heard everything.”
Hmm. If that’s the case, then why did Grande pull the plug on the relationship? Sources close to Big Sean are claiming that he was the one to end their relationship because he felt Grand was immature. It was also revealed that the relationship took a took a turn for the worse when Grande missed the most important appearance of Sean’s career at the House of Blues in West Hollywood. Kanye West, Justin Bieber, JLo, Chris Brown, Jay Z, A$AP Rocky, Tyga, Kylie and Kendall all showed up to support. Everyone but his own girlfriend I guess.
Grande claims she missed the show because she had to get ready for the Grammy’s the next day and that she was under strict orders from her vocal coach to not speak because her voice was strained. Sean was hurt by this because he says he traveled to see her ten times more than she did for him. Sean, who grew up poorly, found Grande to show even more signs of immaturity when she demanded that he blow tens of thousands of dollars on a private jet just to come see her. He also feels that when Grande and Bieber were hugged up onstage at her concert in Los Angeles she was putting on a staged act just to hurt his feelings.
