We were all shocked this week when Nicki Minaj posted a photo of her wearing a enormous rock on her ring finger. My initial thought was this was a great publicity stunt, or Meek Mill had popped the question. Over the past few months, the two lovebirds have continuously been spotted hugged up, even performing together.
On Thursday night Minaj’s mother, Carol Maraj stated,“I talk to my daughter everyday, and she said she was not engaged.” Bossip caught up with Maraj at the Dress For Success Worldwide gala in Manhattan. There Maraj was honored for her work supporting domestic violence victims. In 2012, Maraj started The Carol Maraj Foundation for the prevention of violence against women. The foundation’s goal is to help battered victims develop the life skills necessary to improve their situation.
If anyone knows Nicki, it would be her mother. So for now Barbz, we will just have to sit back and wait until the time is right for Omeeka to elope!
