Rowdy Rebel is a happy man right now! Today, the GS9 member, born Chad Marshall, was released from prison after serving 6 years behind bars at Collins Correctional Facility in Collins, New York. The heartwarming moment was posted on Instagram – instantly going viral.

Back in 2014, Rowdy, 29, was arrested alongside Bobby Shmurda and 13 other GS9 members for various gun, murder, and drug charges. Shmurda is currently still incarcerated Clinton Correction Facility, with an expected release date of December 11, 2021.
In 2016, Shmurda told Complex, “They offered me five [years] and offered Rowdy 12. They said the only way they’ll give him seven is if I took seven too. So, you know, I had to take one for the dawgs.”
Rebel will complete the rest of his sentence under community supervision.
