South Coast Music Group Announces Partnership With Capitol Records

Fresh off of his Poetic Pain release, the self-described hopeless romantic, Toosii, has inked a new deal with Capitol Records (Erykah Badu, Lil Baby, Sam Smith) — in partnership with North Carolina-based powerhouse label South Coast Music Group (DaBaby, Blacc Zacc, Tia Corine, Big Mali).

In alignment with the announcement, Toosii has also unveiled the music video for his Summer Walker-assisted strain titled “Love Cycle” — a hypnotic sequence that spotlights carnal desires and passion-filled mentions towards “that strong-minded, independent woman” that the song celebrates sonically. Since his inception in rap, the Carolina crooner has taken the music industry by storm, showing much promise as a breakout talent.

With his meteoric rise in music, it should be of no surprise to anyone as to why this new partnership makes sense — SCMG is all about acquiring megastars, and Capitol Records, more specifically Jeff Vaughn, President, Capitol Records, has a natural eye for developing artists. “The first time I listened to Toosii I knew he was a Megastar, which is why I did not hesitate signing him to South Coast Music Group,” Arnold Taylor, CEO, South Coast Music Group recalls. “Knowing Jeff Vaughn’s history of developing artists, I knew Capitol Records would be the right partner for Toosii and South Coast Music Group!!!,” he continues.

Toosii has won acclaim for his melodic delivery and raw emotion on wax. He’s a wordsmith by default with a compelling storytelling dynamic attached to his artistry. It’s exciting to see what lies ahead for the poignant emcee.
