Drake sums up 2020 with new Lil Durk-assisted bop ‘Laugh Now Cry Later‘.
Without warning, the OVO frontman shuts down Nike World Headquarters to run routes with Odell Beckham Jr. and for a one-on-one showdown against Kevin Durant. With a montage of bite-sized captures of Drake in rare form — athletically speaking — ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ finds the Canadian hitmaker in what appears to be one well-thought-out Nike commercial.
Outside of being bullied by Marshawn Lynch or being ridiculed by Druski for tapping into his LSC (light-skinned capability), Drake doesn’t miss. At this point, he’s having his way with this rap shit.
The Drake Effect is like the Midas touch of music, citing public approval by way of virality and meme potential — and in short, the 6 God has delivered yet again.
Directed by Dave Meyers, ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ embodies what 2020 has felt like. No matter how difficult life gets, people tend to find comfort in laughter and those AHA moments of simplistic bliss.
