Teyana Taylor’s third studio album is now officially underway.
With a tentative June 2020 release, the G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam recording artist is slated to unveil her long-awaited follow up to 2018’s K.T.S.E (Keep The Same Energy).
The acclaimed release catalyzed an 18-month chain reaction for Teyana, starting with her summertime bop ‘Gonna Love Me’. Moreover, this unique demonstration of digital prowess later translated into a captivating on stage medley with ‘Rose In Harlem’ – another standout track from K.T.S.E, via The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In 2019, Teyana was surprised on-air when Ellen DeGeneres presented her with the RIAA gold award plaque for ‘Gonna Love Me’, serving as the cherry on top to complement her evocative pen game.
After being nominated for Best Dance Performance at the 32nd annual BET Soul Train Awards for the explicit and equally provocative ‘WTP’, it’s almost like the accolades were citing approval by Teyana’s standards. She continued to hit the mark with captivating displays along the way, drawing comparison to the famed Janet Jackson in terms of a commanding stage presence – who is coincidentally enough her idol.
