After an unprecedented run in with law enforcement while in Georgia, Carti resurfaces with new music ahead of his long-awaited Whole Lotta Red project.
The Jetsonmade produced record receives a complementary visual treatment directed by Nick Walker and Playboi Carti himself. ‘@ MEH’ is a mumble rap manifest of cryptic prose that sends warning shots to the implied adversary at hand, further advocating on the importance of coming to terms with conflict directly.
Longtime-collaborator and experienced lensman Gunner Stahl curated the photography portion of photos featured throughout the video, highlighting the intrinsic nature behind Carti’s favorable appeal and detached persona.
Last year, Carti revealed to the Fader that he had successfully assembled over 50 potential records for the fabled LP since undergoing Red Sessions towards the end of 2018 – even insinuating that WLR would be a feature-less effort.
With 2018’s Die Lit offering boasting gold-certified status, die-hard fans and loyal listeners alike are assuredly awaiting for Carti to drop his full-length studio album – especially since it’s been years in the making.
