Don Toliver

Don Toliver has a story to tell and it starts with Heaven or Hell.

Cactus Jack Records’ crooning lyricist releases his debut LP that also serves as the follow up to 2018’s Donny Womack mixtape.

With the pandemic caused in lieu of the recent Coronavirus discovery, it’s almost like humanity has stumbled upon its own version of a figurative Hell on earth. Despite the fear-based rhetoric projected via mainstream media, Don Toliver displays a conscious effort to detach from this worldly blemish and focus on what inherent dangers pervade his inner thoughts.

Heaven or Hell is a twelve-track effort that details a few previously released singles including – ‘Had Enough‘ feat. Quavo and Offset, ‘Can’t Feel My Legs‘ and ‘No Idea’. Outside of the mentioned ballads, the album also features a slate of new songs that are sure to typify the extent of Toliver’s flair for unorthodox accompaniment.

Spire’s nightclub in Houston, TX served as the grounds for a formal introduction to the project, as all roads led to the multi-room venue Wednesday night (March 11, 2020) for a private listening party. Hometown fans and members from Toliver’s entourage gathered by the masses for an evening riddled with jollity and homecoming as they previewed the Texas-bred artist’ debut.

Don Toliver has irrefutably spearheaded the role as one of hip-hop’s more polished acts, leaning on a blend of high-pitched squalls of trap decadence and blunt mentions to debrief listeners on what consumes his intellect.
