Pop Smoke has died.
Back in December, we suffered a devastating loss with the passing of Juice Wrld. Now, we have to prepare ourselves to say goodbye to another talented soul, whose career was sure to take off.
Today, Pop Smoke was tragically shot and killed during an home invasion. Around 4:30 a.m., four men dressed in hoodies and masks broke in Pop’s Hollywood Hills home – just ten minutes after the front doors of the house were dead bolted shut. Apparently, no one turned on the house alarm, making it easier for the men to get inside.
After firing several shots at the “Welcome To The Party” rapper, the suspects fled the scene by foot. Upon arriving to the home, paramedics performed CPR on Pop before rushing him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood – where he was pronounced dead. Pop Smoke was just 20 years old.
Prior to the shooting, a party reportedly took place at the home. It is unclear at this time if Pop knew the suspects.
A small, unintentional mistake made by Pop may have also lead to his demise. Hours before his death, he took to social media to show off a few gifts that he received from designer Mike Amiri. One of the packages contained Pop Smoke’s address, making him an easy target, being that he forgot to block it out.
An investigation has been launched, but police have yet to arrest any suspects.
