The Weeknd Discloses ‘After Hours’ Release Date & Delivers New Single

Abel is back with more synthesized beat patterns and unrequited love stories, and we can’t help but to stan.

The Weeknd begins on hump day yet again as the Canadian vocalist unpacks After Hours, the title track off his highly-anticipated fourth studio album.

Entangled with an afflicted recollection of a former companion, The Weeknd appears to have regained the eerie, yet evocative demeanor displayed in some of the earlier compositions in his career – leaning on intimacy as a tool of resourcefulness to convey his slipshod decrees of resentment for breaking hearts.

With fear of being alone, alienated from a love that was once cherished, The Weeknd appears to develop a sense of self-condemnation – posing the question, ‘Where are you now when I need you most‘ after acknowledging the error in his flawed antics.

XO’s coveted act has finally provided fans with a date for his forthcoming album, marking calendars with a tentative Friday March 20, 2020 release. In delivering two accompanying singles from his impending project (‘Heartless‘ and ‘Blinding Lights’) over the span of the last few months, The Weeknd’s return to music has commenced – let the nostalgia reconvene.
