Quality Control Announce Compilation Album & Release Two New Singles [LISTEN]

by Derrius Edwards

One year and a half later after the release of – Control The Streets Volume 1 – QC is back to unveil the next chapter of their promising musical series with premiering ‘Quality Control: Control The Streets Volume 2‘ on August 16.

The cover art alone is a formidable indication of Quality Control’s irrefutable influence and the standard set within QC’s widely-successful label. Something subtle, yet intentional in conveying that global appeal that each artist possesses.

Providing a mere glimpse into what fans can anticipate from the label with this new project, QC has released two new singles.

Saweetie and City Girls delivered ‘Come On‘, a fun-filled track that encourages listeners to chase a bag, while expressing a passion towards certain traits that make their counterparts more desirable. It also doesn’t hurt that this song is championed with a similar 808 to that of the ideal twerk cadence, just in time for the summer.

Lil Baby and DaBaby go bar for bar with ‘Baby‘,  a suggestive arrangement of lyrics that indicate a troubled past outweighed by a promising future. This song is virtually a modern day retelling of an insightful truth that alludes to a moment in time. A moment in time that encapsulates lessons in the form of idioms and a trapper’s dialect.

Within a matter of six years, the Atlanta-based management company has sought out talent that has continuously prevailed musically, giving further context to literally changing the culture.

CEO Pierre “P” Thomas and COO Kevin “Coach K” Lee have rightfully earned the appropriate title of being industry change agents capable of revolutionizing the typical stance taken on artist development. Creating a blueprint for success that is sure to transcend the perceptive notion of how to innovate the game moving forward.

2019 is seeking out to be a pivotal year for the label, especially considering all the different plaques and accolades received in acknowledgement of their musical eminence.

Only time will tell what the future holds for QC, but for now we wait for August 16.
