Self-proclaimed “America’s #1 Sweetheart” Fat Nick, invaded ATL this past week at The Masquerade Atlanta

Spearheading his North American tour after releasing his debut album entitled “Generation Numb“, Nick’s braggadocious lyricism infused with his exuberant demeanor has further solidified his position in hip-hop.

19 cities, 29 shows, and Thursday’s madness kicked off with an opening performance from Teddy. This emerging talent most recently released his new EP “Castle With No Light“, produced by none other than Lil Peep’s longtime friend/producer smokeasac. His commanding performance set the tone for what would be an eventful night.

British rapper Bexey is known for his audacious style and edgy taste in lyrics. He set the stage ablaze in premiering songs off his most recent EP “Spooky Electrick“. His bravado ensured that his presence wouldn’t go unnoticed, but what stood out to me about the performance in particular was his selflessness and engagement with the fans.

Bexey’s set ended with his track “Stay Alive” featuring Fat Nick, which provided a smooth transition into his headlining performance.

Nick’s vivacious character definitely showcased his sweetheart side as he brought nothing but smiles to the faces of his many adoring fans. His set featured a unique overview of his music as he covered songs both old and new. I can’t go without saying, Nick truly got in his bag while performing “Swipe Swipe“. The energy provided was unmatched and DJ Scheme’s intermediate adlibs made it all the more worthwhile.

Great show, definitely one for the books.

The tour ends in The Magic City. Miami,FL I hope you’re ready for a surprise. Rumor has it, you save some of the best things for last, so who knows what this show will bring.

Lastly, Lil Peep’s influence was embraced, as each artist payed homage to the late Gustav by being sure to recite a few of his most notable songs in each of their sets.

May his soul rest in peace and his impact continue to be felt through the art he created. Long live Peep.
