XXXTentacion’s charity, A Helping Hand, hands out 1,000 bagged lunches.
While many looked down on XXXTentacion because of his abusive past, there’s no denying the fact that the “Sad” rapper was making a huge effort to change his life around.
The day that XXX was shot and killed in Miami, Florida, he made an announcement that his charity, A Helping Hand, would be throwing an event to help people in his hometown. After his passing, his mother announced that the event would still be taking place and that it was X’s “final wish.”
With help from 070 Shake‘s manager and event producer, YesJulz, and her company, 1AM, XXXTentacion’s charity handed out 1,000 bagged lunches at Charles R. Drew Elementary School in Miami. A candlelight vigil and prayer in honor of XXX was also held.
Via Twitter, Julz wrote the following, “We fed 1000 people today in @xxxtentacion’s name. The kids he use to come & visit were asking about him & a few were even inspired to hop on the mic! Jah was always about Florida talent, he would’ve loved this 🖤 #AHelpingHand.”
Tomorrow, fans will get the opportunity to pay their final respects to XXX during a public, open casket memorial at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. The memorial begins at noon.
