Juelz Santana remains behind bars.

Things are looking grim for Juelz Santana right now, and it appears that the “I’m Ready” rapper will spend more time behind bars than expected.

Yesterday, Judge James B. Clark, III denied Santana’s request for bail on weapons and drug charges. While the specifics of the proposed bail package are unclear, Clark stated that he was not satisfied with it.

Santana has been in custody since March 12. Earlier this month, Santana fled Newark Liberty International Airport after TSA found a gun and eight oxycodone pills in his luggage.

A few days later, Santana turned himself into authorities to face a felony charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Santana has pleaded “not guilty” to the weapons-related charges.

Santana’s girlfriend, Kimbella, posted the following supportive message on Instagram, “I know it’s hard my love but you will be home soon! It’s all in God’s hands, there’s a reason for everything that happens in life.. even though this is a difficult time you are LOVED by many!! GOD’s got something BIG planned for you but you gotta get through this first, have that clear & clean mindset. I’m here always in your corner paving the way to greatness! You’ll be home soon to those who love you so much!! Chin up, prayers up, GOD is the greatest!!”
