Jhene Aiko reportedly owes her former tour manager money.
Jhene Aiko, who’s currently in China performing, will have to deal with a nasty lawsuit from her former tour manager when she returns home. Joshua Williams say Aiko owes him more than $50,000 in expenses that he paid for out of his pocket.
Aiko hired Williams in October 2017 to be her road manager. While on the road, Williams says he covered $53,826.23 worth of expenses on his credit card, assuming that he’d eventually be reimbursed – unfortunately, that never happened.
Williams is asking for his money, $16,000 for his work as tour manager, plus 10% interest in legal fees. Apparently, when Williams first approached Aiko’s team about the unpaid expenses, they asked him for proof such as receipts, but he was unable to provide any. Aiko’s team suspects fraudulent purchases were made, and have now launched an investigation of their own.
