After weeks of teasing and promoting the project, Shy Glizzy’s Quiet Storm mixtape has arrived. Today marks a special day, because it’s also Glizzy’s 25th birthday.
The 18 track release serves as the follow-up to his 2016 The World Is Yours EP, and features guest appearances from Dave East, Trey Songz, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Bigga Rankin. Some of the production comes from Doughboy, Zaytoven, Goose, and Yung Lan.
During an interview with Billboard, when asked if he felt pressured to go harder in the studio after being nominated for a Grammy Award, Glizzy replied, “Nah. Not when it’s organic. That’s what’s supposed to happen. That’s what I work for. It won’t go to my head too much. I ain’t never really thought about a nomination like that. I thought about it, but I’m still working every day like that never happened. Same way I was before.”
