Lil Pump and Smoke Purpp were recently arrested.
On Tuesday, footage of Lil Pump and Smoke Purpp being arrested in Los Angeles surfaced on the internet. The short clip shows the two rappers handcuffed and surrounded by a number of police officers. Details are scarce, so it’s unclear if Pump and Smoke were taken into custody.
Following their arrest, fans began to grow suspicious – believing that it was all a publicity stunt or a scene from an upcoming music video. According to Lil Pump, his celebrity status prevented him from spending a night in the slammer. Via Twitter, the “Gucci Gang” rapper tweeted, “The cop pulled me over & I told him “bitch it’s Lil Pump” & he let me go.”
Despite his alleged legal woes, Lil Pump career appears to be quite promising. His newly released hit “Gucci Gang” is his highest charting single to date, reaching number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100.
