Details surrounding Prodigy’s untimely death have been revealed.
On June 20, legendary rapper Prodigy unexpectedly died at 42. Once news of his death surfaced, it was reported that Prodigy had passed away due to complications from sickle cell anemia, which he battled since birth.
But now, official reports have revealed that Prodigy died from accidental choking. Following a performance, he received treatment for his sickle cell anemia at a Las Vegas hospital when he choked on an egg.
Prodigy had performed during the Art of Rap Fest with fellow Mobb Deep member Havoc, Ghostface Killah, KRS-One, Onyx, and Ice-T, which caused his sickle cell to flare up due to the Las Vegas’ severe heat.
