Desiigner has been slapped with a $500,000 lawsuit for allegedly crashing a Ferrari.
A luxury rental car company is suing Desiigner for wrecking their 2014 Ferrari back in June. The Ferrari is valued at $220,000, but the company is suing for more than $500,000, claiming that it’s losing $1,599 each day the car is off the rental lot undergoing repairs.
According to court documents, two of Desiigner’s friends rented the Ferrari and gave him permission to drive it before he wrecked it in New Jersey. Included in the documents was the following tweet from Desiigner, “If you have a luxury car you better know how to drive.” – which suggest that the “Timmy Turner” rapper was actually confessing to crashing the vehicle.
A rep from Desiigner’s team released the following statement, “This is the first that Desiigner or his team have heard about this lawsuit. The minute he has had a chance to consult with his attorney, his managers or his attorney will respond.”
