All of Desiigner’s charges have officially been dropped.
Back in September, following a road rage incident, the 19 year old G.O.O.D. Music emcee was arrested and slapped with a number of drug and gun charges. The very next day, two of the charges were dropped – criminal possession of a loaded weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Apparently, a gun was never found in the vehicle, and the bag of prescription steroids belonged to the driver that was chauffeuring the “Timmy Turner” rapper. Ready to put an end to Desiigner’s legal woes, on Tuesday, prosecutors from New York’s District Attorney office sealed his case and dismissed all remaining charges.
Due to his busy schedule, Desiigner was unable to appear in court, but his lawyers, Ian Niles and Stacey Richman showed up to represent him. Pleased with the ruling, Niles and Richman told TMZ, “We’re happy he’s been exonerated… and happy with the investigation from the D.A.”
Now, Desiigner can continue to focus on his music without the possibility of serving time in jail. Back in June, he released his “New English” mixtape, which debuted at number 22 on the Billboard 200. He is currently preparing for the release of his debut studio album, “The Life Of Desiigner”, which will drop some time next year.
