Bobby Shmurda has received his official sentence.
Today, Bobby Shmurda appeared in a Manhattan Supreme Court, where he pleaded guilty to one count of 4th degree conspiracy to criminally possess a weapon, and one count of 2nd-degree criminal weapons possession. Consequently, he was officially sentenced to 7 years in prison.
Back in September, Shmurda revealed to Complex that he accepted the plea deal to help out fellow GS9 member, Rowdy Rebel. Shmurda stated, “I did it for Rowdy. They offered me five and offered Rowdy 12. They said the only way they’ll give him seven is if I took seven too. So, you know, I had to take one for the dawgs.”
However, today in court, the 22 year old “Bobby B*tch” rapper expressed his frustration with his decision. Shmurda blurted out, “I was forced to take this sentence, I did not want to take this sentence. I was forced by my attorney to take this plea. They lied to me.” Shmurda then proceeded to tell his lawyer, Alex Spiro, “I want to drop my plea.”
After the hearing, Shmurda’s mother, Leslie Pollard, expressed her dissatisfaction with the outcome, stating, “You don’t have any rights in that courtroom. It’s heartbreaking. It’s disappointing.”
