Beyonce’s Formation World Tour was a total success!
Last week, Beyonce wrapped up her Formation World Tour on October 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey after endless months on the road, but all of her hard work has definitely paid off. According to Billboard, the tour sold approximately 2.2 million tickets, and made over $256,084,556.
To be more specific, Bey’s tour made 49 stops, averaging about $5.2 million in gross and 45,757 paid attendance per show. Beyonce’s highest grossing stops were two sold out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium – selling 142,500 tickets and earning $15.3 million. All in all, Bey broke records in ticket sales in North America, as well as overseas.
Arthur Fogel, chairman of Live Nation’s Global Touring division, released the following statement to Billboard, “When everybody acknowledges the greatness of the production but, more than that, everybody is blown away by her, that’s the ultimate skill. To not only use the platform of a great production, but to rise above it as a performer and artist, that’s her incredibly unique quality.”
