Omarion And DJ Mustard Sued For Allegedly Stealing Chris Brown’s Song To Make “Post To Be”

Omarion and DJ Mustard have been sued by BMG Rights Management.

Omarion’s track, “Post To Be” is allegedly identical in pitches, intervals, rhythmic duration’s and beat placement to Chris Brown’s 2014 song, “Came To Do” featuring Akon. (DJ Mustard produced the track).

Came To Do was written by multiple songwriters, and was featured on Brown’s “X” album. In addition, one of Brown’s songwriter’s, Jon Redwine a.k.a. Redwine, assigned 50% of the rights to the song to BMG.

Now, BMG is “demanding an injunction against the label and Omarion from continuing to illegally profit off their work along with accounting for the his album sales and damages up to $150k per time they infringed on “Came To Do” and no less than $300k in actual damages.”
