T.I. and Tidal have raised more than $80,000 for education initiatives.
T.I. is definitely about the money, but for a good cause! Tip hopped on the Tidal wave back in February, and is already making power moves with the music streaming service. The 35 year old “No Mediocre” rapper has paired with Tidal for their “Money Talk” challenge, which is designated to raise money for education initiatives in the United States.
The public donated more than $46,000 to 86 charities that participated in the challenge. T.I. is adding $35,000 of his own money to the top 6 organizations that raised the most money during the challenge, raking in a grand total of $81,699. The top six finalists are Fate Loves The Fearless, Shaw Inspires “Teen-Preneurs”, The Musicianship’s 2016 Summer Camp, Generation – You Employed, Educate Me College Tour, and Truancy Intervention Project (TIP) 25th Anniversary.
T.I. released the following statement, “We just already knew what the intent was to do things that we had like minds about. One of those things is inspiring entrepreneurial initiatives in the community and promoting education. I think this was the most valiant opportunity to do so. It’s the first of many.”
