Burberry Perry has changed his name amidst Burberry lawsuit.
Earlier this week, news broke that Lil Yachty’s producer and right hand man Burberry Perry was being sued by Burberry for using their name, logo, and signature plaid print to market himself and his music career. The luxurious fashion line sent Perry a number of cease and desist letters, but decided to slap the producer with a lawsuit after he disregarded them all.
Well, it looks like Burberry Perry has had a change of heart and isn’t looking forward to shelling out any money to Burberry. Yesterday, Perry revealed via Instagram that he has made the decision to change his name, writing, “I am no longer Burberry Perry I am THEGOODPERRY ⚡️⚡️⚡️ new song out Link in bio.” The Good Perry even celebrated his newfound name by releasing a new track titled, “Blueberry”.
Following news of the lawsuit, Lil Yachty stood up for his boy and admitted that he had given him the name Burberry Perry, tweeting, “Sue me I gave him the name Burberry Perry. I confess. Put the cuffs on me I did it.”
