Why didn’t he see this coming? Lil Yachty’s close friend and collaborator, Burberry Perry, has been slapped with a lawsuit from Burberry. The British luxury fashion line is furious that the rapper is using their name and logo to market his himself and his brand. The company, which was established in 1856, says that Burberry Perry deliberately stole the brand’s equestrian knight, plaid print, and even their distinctive font for his album cover.
Burberry now fears that its customers will believe that Burberry Perry is connected to their brand. Burberry sent Perry numerous cease and desist letters, but he blatantly ignored them. Since Burberry’s attempt to be nice failed tremendously, they have now resorted to suing Burberry Perry.
Burberry Perry seems to be totally unbothered by the situation, even taking to Instagram to make a joke of it all.
