Well, this is disappointing. Originally, Drake had been offering his fans $1,000 VIP packages for his “Summer Sixteen Tour” that consisted of seats in the first five rows, various merchandise, and a meet and greet. Unfortunately, fans won’t get a chance to gush over the 6 God backstage because he has cancelled all of his meet and greets due to “scheduling issues”. However, fans will be granted a refund for any packages that they purchased.
Saddened fans took to Twitter to air our their heartbreak, tweeting, “So I forked up a ton of $$$ to have the Meet & Greet with Drake to now find out he has canceled all of them…SMDH #Drake #SummerSixteenTour”, “@Drake you just killed me!!!! Why did you cancel the meet & greet that I have been waiting MY WHOLE LIFE FOR???#IDon’tKnowHowToGetOverThis”, and “My day is ruined,my month is ruined,my summer is ruined. @Drake how you gonna cancel my meet & greet. I am heartbroken. I am cryin @WordOnRd”.
News of Drake’s cancellations come days after singer Christina Grimmie was shot and killed while signing autographs at a meet and greet in Orlando, Florida.
