Future can’t seem to catch a break. Only months after being sued by Ciara, the Atlanta rapper is facing yet another hefty lawsuit.
Future is being sued by his former collaborator, Rocko, for a breach of contract stemming from a 2011 deal where Future was supposed to release his first six albums through Rocko’s label, A1 Recordings. Rocko claims that a deal with Epic Records was signed to distribute albums. However, things took a turn for the worse when Future cut a side deal with the label that gave him multi-million dollar advances and cut Rocko out of the picture completely.
Rocko says he’s owed 25 percent of Future’s Epic advances, as well as an additional 20 percent of Future’s tour and endorsement earnings. In total, Rocko is asking Future for more than $10 million. Future has yet to release a statement, but he did hop onto Twitter to poke fun at Rocko in a series of tweets.
Over the years, the two rappers have collaborated frequently, most notably on the tracks “Chosen One”, “Squares Out Your Circle”, and “U.O.E.N.O.”.
Check out Future’s tweets below along with Rocko’s response!
