Azealia Banks can’t help but to let her potty mouth get her into trouble, however, this time around there are consequences. A couple of days ago, via social media, Banks felt it was necessary to direct racial slurs at former One Direction member Zayn Malik after she accused him of copying the concept of her “Chasing Time” video for his new video “Like I Would”.

Banks tweeted, “When your entire extended family has been obliterated by good ol the U.S of A will you still be trying to act like a white boy pretending to be black? Do you understand that you are a sand n—– who emulates white boys’ renditions of black male hood? Do you know how lost and culture less you are?” Moments later, she began attacking 14 year old Disney actress, Skai Jackson, (who is also a One Direction fan), after Jackson tweeted, “Azealia Banks needs to simmer down a little😶😂.” To say the least, Banks is more known for her messiness than her music.

But unfortunately for Banks, we won’t be hearing from her for awhile. Today, Twitter has taken it upon themselves to suspend Banks’ account. Via Instagram, Banks claims to be totally unbothered, and even claims she is writing an essay called “whitness is a mental illness” that will be available for her fans to read tonight. If that wasn’t enough, it was also announced that Banks had been dropped from U.K. Festival, Born & Bred, after they caught wind of her tweets about Malik.

The U.K.’s home office released the following statement, “Coming to the UK is a privilege, and we expect those who come here to respect our shared values. The Home Secretary has the power to exclude an individual if she considers that his or her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good or if their exclusion is justified on public policy grounds.”
