Yesterday, Chance The Rapper was scheduled to perform at a charity event in New York City hosted by the Robin Hood Project, a local organization that raises money to fight poverty. Unfortunately, at the last minute, the 23 year old Chicago rapper had to pull out of the “Night for NYC” show.

Originally, it was reported that Chance was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons, but thanks to Joey Badass, fans were given an update via Twitter, “Looks like I’ll be performing at Terminal 5 tonight in NYC covering for my brother @chancetherapper get well bro I got you ‼️” Anderson .Paak, Mark Ronson, and Joey Badass took the stage at Terminal 5 to fill in Chance’s spot.

Today, Chance hopped onto Twitter to clarify things, tweeting, “Thank you @joeyBADASS and @AndersonPaak for filling in for me and supporting a great cause. GREAT Men. I got pneumonia but #Chance3 still.” Chance revealed that he’s suffering from a case of pneumonia, but advised fans that his “Chance 3” would still be dropping on Friday.

All proceeds from the show will help feed a family of four for a week. Tickets for the event cost $150 for general admission, and $250 for deluxe admission. The events official website states, “100% of every dollar raised goes directly to fighting poverty in NYC. Robin Hood finds, funds and creates over 200 of the most effective programs, to help 1.8 million New Yorkers learn and earn their way out of poverty.”

Get well soon Chance!
