I have nothing against Warren G, but I’m going to need him to stick to his day job. On Friday, the 45 year old rapper was asked to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” at the Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Unfortunately, fans were not impressed. Warren awkwardly greeted fans stating, “Cubbie fans, mount up”, snagging the opening from his 1994 hit song “Regulate”.

He then began singing, “Take me to the ball game / Take me out with the crowd / Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks / I don’t care if I never come back”. The correct words are “Take me out to the ball game / Take me out with the crowd / Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks / I don’t care if I never get back”. Not only did Warren mess up the words, but his tone was terribly off. Fans in the crowd can be seen frowning and a few boos were even heard.

Warren later hopped onto Twitter to defend himself tweeting, “Don’t get me twisted. I know I didn’t get the take me to the ball game but my pitch was the best ever how you like that.”
