D.C. rapper Fat Trel was arrested yesterday in Arlington, Virginia for a number of charges including DWI, narcotics distribution, speeding and driving with a revoked license. Details regarding the arrest are scarce, but Arlington County Police did confirm that they arrested Trel, born Martrel Reeves, 25, in the area of I395 North at S. Joyce Street.
The past couple of weeks have been troublesome for the Maybach Music Group rapper. On Sunday, March 27, Trel was arrested for using nine counterfeit bills at a Maryland casino. Trel argued that he was innocent, and that he had received the fake money from an 7-Eleven ATM in his hometown.
After bonding out of jail, Trel took to Twitter to air his frustration tweeting, “AN ATM ?😂😂😂😂😂 I DONT EVEN OWN A BANK CARD…PICTURE BIG GLEETCHIE AT A ATM…1st & LASTER RESPONSE 2 DA BULLSHYT!!!” and “CRACKA GOT MAD AT ME LIKE ICREARE DA MONEY…FAKE PROMOTERz DEWWILDSH*T…BUT IM NO SNITCH💯😂😷😏 F*K EM….WE BALL!!!”.
Last June, Trel released his Georgetown mixtape, which was followed by his Muva Russia mixtape in December. Most recently, he dropped a remix to Desiigner’s “Panda”, and teamed up with ASAP ANT for “The Way It Go Pt. 2”.
