Finally, a sigh of relief for Drake fans! Back in January, Drizzy announced that “Views From The 6” would hit shelves in April, but fans began to get skeptical due to a lack of marketing and promotion surrounding the project.
But Drake is a man of his word, and has confirmed that the highly anticipated album is still set to be released in April. Drake made the announcement via Instagram, posting a photo of a downtown Toronto billboard with the word “View” on it. The caption of the photo read “APRIL”. Although Drake didn’t provide a specific release date, at least we know he’s putting the finishing touches on it. In the meantime, we can continue enjoying the album’s lead single, “Summer Sixteen”.
Drake’s longtime friend and producer Noah “40” Shebib recently told Ecumenical News, “We’re getting very, very close. The time will come when Drake’s ready to pull the trigger, but for us it’s just a balance of finding that space to make such a project that’s based around our city, and then also we come out here and escape some of the harsh winter and find a good creative space.”
