It’s been a tough few weeks for Kanye, and things are only getting worse. Kanye has been working tirelessly in the studio for months putting the final touches on his eighth studio album, The Life Of Pablo, only for fans to have illegally downloaded it over 500,000 times the first day it was available. Apparently, fans were uninterested in signing up for a subscription with Tidal.

Instead of taking his frustrations out Twitter, Ye has come up with an even better master plan. Yeezy plans on suing popular torrent site, Pirate Bay, for copyright infringement and loss of earnings. The piracy reportedly cost West over $10 million in lost revenue. Ouch! But here’s the problem, the founders of Pirate Bay have served time and paid fines for facilitating copyright infringement many times in the past, but their website is never down for long.

TorrentFreak reached out to Pirate Bay for comment, but let’s just say their response was far from fearful. Pirate Bay staff member Spud17 wrote, “Kanye West is a blithering twat who has an incredible sense of self importance. Our legal team will be waiting.”

I guess these are the consequences that Yeezy has to deal with for making it hard for his fans to access his music.
