Renzel is out here making moves! After a decade with Def Jam, it was announced yesterday that the bawse has signed with Epic Records. Ross released his debut album, Port Of Miami, through Def Jam, along with seven other albums over the years. Most recently, Ross dropped his eighth studio album, Black Market on December 4. The album debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200. Ross’ move isn’t much of a shock, back in September he tweeted a photo of himself doing business with L.A. Reid and Breyon Prescott, head of Urban A&R.
As of now, there is no word on whether Ross’ Maybach Music Group imprint will come with him to Epic Records. Maybach Music Group is distributed by Atlantic Records, it was formerly distributed by Def Jam and Warner Bros. Records.
Renzel will join a roster of artists including Future, Diddy, Jidenna, Mariah Carey, Tinashe, Tamar Braxton, Yo Gotti, Ciara, Travis Scott, Tink, and many more.
