All I can say is messy, messy, messy… But at least this whole fiasco between Blac Youngsta vs. Wells Fargo is over. Let me recap in case you missed what’s been going on. Earlier this week rapper Blac Youngsta was detained outside of a Wells Fargo branch in Atlanta after withdrawing $200,000 from his account. Wells Fargo revealed that they called the police after a man was attempted to forge a check for $24,000. Turns out, Blac Youngsta, born Sam Benson, wasn’t the suspect in question. Charles Darnell, 39, was later arrested and charged with first degree forgery.

After the incident occurred, Wells Fargo’s Southeast Communication Manager, Crystal Drake, released the following statement, “Mr. Benson is not an account holder with us. He did not enter our store nor did he make any withdrawals. A fraudulent incident did occur in the store so in the best interest of our customer, we reported it to law enforcement right away and as a result, a suspect was apprehended and the customer was not the victim of fraud. Mr. Benson was not a party to the fraudulent incident. We’re confident that our description of the suspect was appropriate. It is documented in the police report. We encourage you to review it.”

Youngsta later disputed Wells Fargo’s statement, taking to Instagram to prove that he did hold an account with them. He posted a photo of a letter he received from the bank warning him that they had begun the process of shutting down his account. Consequently, Youngsta has decided to manage his finances at Bank Of America.
