Well this is some pretty disappointing news for Gucci Mane fans. Earlier this month, Gucci Mane’s record label, 1017 Records, announced that Gucci would be released from prison in March. However, they are now confirming that the 35 year old Atlanta rapper will NOT be a free man in March. On January 9, 1017 Records took to Instagram posting a photo of Gucci in handcuffs with a caption reading, “So Gucci Mane NOT release on march #Fuck12 #FreeGucci πŸ”“πŸ”“πŸ”“.”

The worst part of it all is that no one from Gucci’s team has revealed exactly when he will be released, nor the reason behind his release date being pushed back. However, Revolt TVβ€˜s Jayson Rodriguez tweeted that the “Icy” rapper would still be released in 2017.

On January 3, Gucci’s Twitter and Instagram account’s were mysteriously deleted. Stories than began to circulate claiming that Gucci no longer needed the accounts because he was released from prison. Unfortunately, the stories were bogus, and Gucci’s good friend and engineer, Sean Paine, clarified that Gucci got rid of the accounts because “he wants to wait until he gets out to build anticipation and resurface everything under the new Gucci brand.”

Stayed tuned for updates…
